Serving the children of Uganda through the love of Jesus
Our Story
Jopri was born in 2018 from many conversations among the leaders and supporters of Kidron Valley Ministries. United by a shared passion for mission work and adoption, we envisioned a way to support sports outreach and education in a sustainable, lasting way. While existing support focused on medical and healthcare initiatives, we saw an opportunity to expand our impact by partnering with Pastor John, the Director of Kidron Valley Ministries.
With this in mind, we founded Jopri to come alongside Kidron Valley Children’s Home—a school, orphanage, and clinic—helping to sustain and grow its vital programs. Through extensive discussions with Pastor John, we gained deeper insight into the ongoing challenges of keeping Kidron Valley Ministries thriving and meeting its monthly needs. This understanding broadened our vision, leading us to focus on not only education and sports outreach but also healthcare, particularly the feeding and nutrition programs for the children.
Eventually, all of these ideas came together, and JoPRI—named after 2 former KVCH children now living in the US, Jordan and Priscilla,—was established with a clear mission built on three pillars: education, healthcare, and sports outreach.
As Jopri continues to grow, our commitment remains steadfast and guided by our pillars: to make a lasting impact at Kidron Valley Ministries while expanding our support to other programs in and around Jinja, Uganda.
