VISION: Empowering the under-resourced children of Uganda in the areas of education, healthcare, and sports outreach.
OUR STORY:
Jopri came to fruition in 2018 and originated in conversations with many KidronValley Ministries' leaders and supporters. We had dreamed of finding a way to support sports outreach and education in a sustainable way in the community we were all heavily invested in through mission work or adopting. Some support was already geared toward medical and healthcare support and so everyone landed in a place where we realized we wanted to help Pastor John (Director of Kidron Valley Ministries) by forming JOPRI. Our goal is to come alongside Kidron Valley Children's Home (school, orphanage, clinic) to serve and support this amazingly successful organization that requested a partnership in order to prop up their sustainability projects and help their new ideas come to fruition. We spoke at length with Pastor John about the struggles they experience to keep Kidron Valley Ministries afloat and what monthly needs looked like. Our vision was expanded to include healthcare and focusing on the feeding program and nutrition of the children staying at Kidron. Eventually, all of these ideas melded together and Jo (Jordan) Pri (Priscilla) originated with focus on it’s three pillars: education, healthcare, and sports outreach. As Jopri continues to develop and grow, our goal is to focus not only on making an impact at Kidron Valley Ministries, but to eventually expand to supporting other programs in the surrounding area in and outside of Jinja, Uganda with an emphasis on our 3 pillars.
